Can I take you in an excursion to discover the flavours and aromas of our territory?
Try to imagine the flavour of our lemons, what mysterious process makes the dairy products of Paestum or Monti Lattari so delicious, or the colour the bunches of grapes used to make the drink of the god, Bacchus… if I have tweaked your interest, this is the tour for you!
There are two roads to take to please your palate: the area of Cilento or along the fascinating Amalfi coast. On the first case, I will take you to the cheese makers of Paestum, where the best Buffalo Mozzarella is made.
We will begin our in the stalls and follow the process of
transformation of milk to the final product which we will enjoy accompanied by a good glass of regional wine.
If instead, you choose to investigate the flavors of the Amalfi Coast, we will explore the products that use the lemon as their principal ingredient, “Limoncello” the delicious liqueur whose creation is contended between Capri, Sorrento and Amalfi; and the “Delizia a Limone”, a typical Sorrento pastry.
Typical of Cetara is the “Colatura di Alici”, a condiment of anchovy that has all the flavous of the sea in it. At Conca dei Marini we’ll taste the delicius pastry called sfogliatella Santa Rosa. Then a hop to the wine cellars of Tramonti, producers of wine that are prized all over the world.
